Experience


Tony has over 25 years of diverse experience in the civil engineering industry. He has a unique combination of design, management, and academia experience. A significant portion of his career has focused on project delivery. Tony’s background includes the design and management of a wide variety of projects that vary greatly in size and scope. He has served as Project Manager for the $300 million reconstruction of I-93 in New Hampshire and three design-build projects in Maine. He has also severed many municipal clients providing review services for development and infrastructure projects.

For a private client, he has provided owners representation and review services. This included oversight of the design and permitting process to ensure successful approval of the project. Tony has assisted another engineering firm in the review of insurance claims to provide the clients with an independent review of the claims submitted.

Tony is also an adjunct professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of New Hampshire. He currently teaches a Construction Contracting class, a sophomore level Project Engineering course, and the senior Design/Capstone class. A a practicing engineer, Tony provides the students with an understanding the skills and knowledge they will need in the “real world”.

Tony recently served for 5 years as the Executive Director of the Boston Society of Civil Engineers. In that role, he was responsible for overall leadership of this 4000-member volunteer organization. His responsibilities included ensuring the execution of policies, implementation of the Strategic Plan, and management of the finances.

He is active within several professional organizations and is a strong advocate for the civil engineering industry. He is a member of many local and national committee for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE); including serving a term on the national Board of Direction. Tony regular participates on the review and development of policy and legislation that impacts the engineering and construction industry. He has provided written and oral testimony to the New Hampshire Legislature. He is also a member New England chapter’s Board of Directors of the Design Build Institute of America.
